Role Models
September 10, 2007
"Do not forget to do good and to share with others," (Hebrews 13:16). Christian maturity means making Christ the beginning and the end of our faith. We never choose to be role models and yet we never know who may be watching. In fact, sometimes we may, indeed, be the only Bible some people see!
God works in us to make us the kind of people that would please him and he equips us to do the kind of work that would please him. He is sufficient for all our needs and he will provide us with everything we need to do his will. We all have special talents and it is our talents that we can use to witness and bring someone else to know the Lord.
Those who have made Jesus their Lord and Savior have been made holy through the blood of Jesus and God asks us to go to work to do good and show others God's grace. Suddenly, we are setting an example, suddenly we are his disciples, suddenly we his witness's and our talents (which he has provided) are the things we use to continually spread his word.
Do not ever underestimate what God will help you do. Our testimony, our witnessing to others, and our commitment to making Christ the beginning and the end of our faith is the thread that will bring others to our Savior.
Being on fire for Christ can be contagious. Others want what we have. Use your God-given talents to share the gospel. You may be a role model and not even realize it. Don't miss the chance God gives you to share his word. He provides the words, the setting, the opportunity and the circumstances. It is when your job as role model begins to unfold. Someone is watching you. Be a shining example of who God is and what he represents. Be the role model he is helping you to be and spread his word!
Be Blessed This Day!
